Missed it by THAT much!

Last night while working, I received an email showing a new cache near me. So, like any good cacher, I headed out the door as soon as I got off work with my gear, ready to make the FTF.

Apparently that was not to be. I pulled up to the cache at approximately 5 AM and found it in fairly short order thanks to the clues given, brought the cache back to my car to look through and sign the log… and found another signature already there, showing it was from 15 minutes previous.

For next time that happens – because in geocaching, there is always another opportunity to be FTF – I will make sure I have the information saved to my GPSr before the end of my shift, so I can get out there as quickly as possible. Maybe, just maybe, that will allow me to snatch a FTF.

What’s all this, then?
